As a military dependent, I had the opportunity to travel across Canada. A direct result of this was my love of aviation and of the Canadian landscape, particularly Atlantic Canada. Not being able to fly or live in Atlantic Canada, it is not surprising that these two themes are often repeated in my work. The arrival of my daughter has been responsible for my starting to paint people on a much more regular basis.
Through aviation art, I have been fortunate to be displayed in the Canada Aviation Museum's Artflight exhibits and at several aviation museums across Canada. My non-aviation themed pieces have been displayed in several juried shows in Ottawa such as the Mayor's First Annual Art Show (of which there was only one!), the Ottawa Art Gallery's Winter show and the Orleans Festival of the Arts. I am also a regular participant at Art in Strathcona Park and Art on the Farm.
I currently live in Ottawa with my wife and daughter.
Thank you to all who visited during the NFAL Fall Show and Sale. I have to upload a few more images here to view. Please feel free to drop me a line if you have any questions for me.
